Before founding Raymond Group Defence in 2022, Tyler gained invaluable experience as both a Defence Lawyer and a Crown Prosecutor. During his tenure as a prosecutor in Southern Alberta, he handled numerous high-profile cases, served as the designated wildlife prosecutor for southern Alberta, and was an active member of the government’s Impaired Driving Task Force. This dual perspective gives Tyler a unique and comprehensive understanding of the justice system, enabling him to craft meticulous and effective defence strategies for his clients.
Admitted to the Law Society of Alberta in 2017, Tyler earned his law degree from the University of Ottawa’s Faculty of Law, graduating cum laude, at the top of his class.
Tyler regularly appears before the Alberta Court of Justice, the Court of King’s Bench of Alberta, and SafeRoads Alberta, and his work has been cited in several published judicial decisions. He is known for his commitment to providing clear, practical advice and for guiding clients through the complexities of the legal system during their most challenging times.

Darin’s legal career began in Slave Lake, Alberta, where he completed his articles at a general practice firm before being admitted to the Alberta Bar in 2023. Following this, he honed his skills in criminal defence while practicing at a firm in Edmonton.
Darin has a deep-seated passion for criminal justice, bringing his unwavering dedication and keen legal insight to every case he handles. Since becoming a lawyer, Darin has appeared regularly before the Alberta Court of Justice and the Court of King’s Bench of Alberta, building a strong reputation for his diligent and compassionate approach to defence work.

Lindsay Walker is an articling student at Raymond Group Defence, working under the supervision of Managing Lawyer, Tyler Raymond.
Lindsay brings a strong academic foundation and a rights-focused perspective to criminal defence work. She completed the National Committee on Accreditation (NCA) process in 2025 and holds an LLB from the University of the West of England (Bristol). Her graduate research at the Peter A. Allard School of Law has examined the legality and lived impact of state search powers, including strip-search practices.
In addition to her legal training in Canada and the UK, Lindsay has meaningful international access-to-justice experience. She worked with Justice Defenders (formerly African Prisons Project) in Kenya, helping develop and deliver legal skills programming in maximum-security prison settings, and later coordinated pro bono initiatives supporting incarcerated learners and tutors. She is committed to trauma-informed and culturally safe practice, supported by training in trauma-informed practice and Indigenous cultural competency.
Krystina is the Office Manager at Raymond Group Defence, serving as the cornerstone of the firm’s operations and the primary point of contact for client inquiries. With over 12 years of office experience, she ensures the seamless coordination of client communications, case management, and administrative processes.

Ally is a Legal Assistant with Raymond Group Defence, serving as a primary point of contact for individuals seeking assistance with criminal defence matters. In this role, Ally supports clients from the initial inquiry through ongoing file management by coordinating appointments, facilitating intake and retainer processes, and ensuring counsel receives the information needed to advance each matter efficiently.
